Supporting Refugee Students

ACA proudly supported hundreds of Sudanese refugee students by providing school supplies, covering bachelor exam fees, and assisting with transportation costs. Despite displacement, poverty, and family responsibilities, these determined students continue to pursue their education and work toward a better future. Through ongoing support, ACA remains committed to empowering refugee youth and ensuring that education remains accessible even in the most difficult circumstances.

The Beginning

Atiye Charity Association (ACA) was founded on January 4, 2024, in response to the devastating war and displacement affecting Sudanese families. After hearing heartbreaking stories of elders arriving in refugee camps in Chad without proper clothing, shoes, or basic necessities, ACA was created to restore dignity, provide urgent humanitarian support, and bring hope to those forced to flee their homes.

What began as a response to suffering quickly became a mission to stand beside displaced families, empower communities, and support vulnerable refugees through compassion, unity, and action.

Supporting Community Kitchen #52 in Tawila

Through the Tawila Emergency Response Rooms, Atiye Charity Association (ACA) proudly supported Community Kitchen #52, helping provide hot daily meals to displaced and vulnerable families affected by war and hunger. For six continuous days, the kitchen served nearly 250 families each day, offering not only food, but comfort, dignity, and hope during unimaginable hardship.
In a time when many families were struggling to survive, this initiative became a lifeline for mothers, children, and elders facing displacement, loss, and uncertainty.

Uganda Community Iftar and Food Pack Distribution

Expanding its reach beyond Sudan and Eastern Chad, Atiye Charity Association (ACA) supported Sudanese refugee families in Uganda during Ramadan by distributing essential food packs to families facing displacement and hardship. ACA also hosted a community iftar for more than 80 vulnerable Ugandan community members, creating a space for unity, dignity, and shared compassion during the holy month.

2025-2026

Atiye Charity Association (ACA) continues to support refugee students by providing essential school supplies and covering bachelor exam registration and transportation fees. These efforts are focused on helping students who remain determined to continue their education despite extremely difficult living conditions and displacement.

Ramadan 2024-2026

Provided Ramadan food bags to Sudanese refugees across multiple refugee camps in Eastern Chad, Sudan, the Tawila region and Uganda.

Prosthetic limbs project

Our largest initiative of the year focuses on launching prosthetic limb support for 13 Sudanese war survivors in Farchana Refugee Camp, eastern Chad. This project aims to restore mobility, dignity, and independence for individuals who have lost limbs due to conflict, through access to professionally fitted prosthetic care and rehabilitation support.
